Pastoral Care Role of the Parents' Association
The Roncalli Care group: Roncalli Care, named after Angelo Giuseppe Roncalli (Pope St John XXIII), is an initiative of a group of parent volunteers who work together to support College families experiencing hardship and suffering in their lives due to illness and loss.
The Roncalli Care group's primary goal is to help families in need. Family care is an approach that recognises, respects and upholds the central role of the family.
The coordinator works with the family, via a family liaison person, in a sensitive, non-intrusive manner to help them receive support and assistance relevant to their needs.
The secondary goal of Roncalli Care group is to recall the people of our community to the life of service extolled by Pope St John XXIII throughout his life. It is a valuable opportunity for families of the College to engage in a tangible and meaningful way in the service of others within the College community.
